Veeam Silver Service Provider

Veeam Logo partner

Veeam is a leading platform for data backup and retention management. We are a Silver Service Provider partner, officially recognized for delivering high-quality data backup and recovery solutions using the Veeam platform.

Veeam solutions protect data and workloads across physical, virtual, cloud, and hybrid environments. The Veeam Data Platform combines backup creation and management, data recovery, environment monitoring, and capabilities for improving the resilience of IT systems. It gives organizations comprehensive visibility into data protection, regardless of where their data resides.

What we offer as a partner

We cover the full data protection lifecycle, from initial planning through to long-term solution management.

  • Strategy design: we define the RPO and RTO targets, inventory critical workloads, and prepare rules for creating and retaining backups in line with the 3 2 1 principle or its extended variant 3 2 1 1 0.

  • Implementation and configuration: we deploy the Veeam environment and integrate it with the VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper V virtualization platforms, physical servers, databases, and supported cloud services.

  • Managed services: we monitor backup performance, verify the health of restore points, prepare reports, and act on errors or incidents.

  • Incident recovery: we execute proven procedures for restoring data and entire systems. If required, we also perform test recoveries to validate the usability of backups and the readiness of procedures.

In our design, we always take into account the characteristics of the IT environment, the volume and criticality of data, and the required recovery time. The goal is to reduce the impact of technical failures, human error, and cyber incidents, and to support the customer’s business continuity.

Veeam Backup & Replication

Veeam Backup & Replication is the platform’s core product, designed to protect workloads in the customer’s data center or in the cloud.

It enables image-level backups for virtual, physical, and cloud systems, applications, and databases. This approach protects the entire system, not just individual files.

Replicating virtual machines to a secondary site enables a rapid failover in case the primary site goes down. Because a system replica is already prepared, the time to restore business services can be significantly shortened.

Immutable copies and insider-threat protection prevent backups from being modified or deleted for a defined period. This is especially important during cyberattacks, where attackers often try to destroy the data required for recovery as well.

Veeam enables the recovery of individual files, application items, databases, and entire servers. Restore points can also be verified, reducing the risk that an unusable copy is discovered only during an actual incident.

Built-in threat detection features help identify ransomware and other malware, as well as suspicious changes in data. Such alerts enable faster recognition of a potential incident and selection of the appropriate restore point.

Effective protection is not just regular backups. It is essential that copies are properly isolated, protected, and verified, and that they can be used quickly and reliably for recovery in the event of an incident.

Veeam Cloud Connect

Veeam Cloud Connect enables secure backup and replication of data to a service provider’s cloud without setting up your own secondary site. We host the service on our infrastructure under the Zabec brand, in TIER III data centers with Slovenian data residency.

This design is particularly important for organizations that want clear visibility into data location and need to support business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery requirements.

The service is available to customers in two forms.

Backup as a Service

With the Backup as a Service offering, backups are written to our cloud repository as an external, geographically separated copy.

Immutable copies and insider-threat protection reduce the likelihood that backups will be altered or deleted, even if the customer’s primary environment is compromised.

The external copy complements local backups and helps meet the 3 2 1 rule. The customer does not need to establish and maintain their own additional site for this.

Disaster Recovery as a Service

With the Disaster Recovery as a Service offering, virtual machines are replicated to hosts in our infrastructure.

If the primary site goes down, the customer can fail over to the replicas and use our infrastructure as a remote disaster recovery site.

This approach enables faster restoration of business services without the need for an in-house secondary data center. Available resources and service scope are defined based on the customer’s requirements.

Multi-tenant architecture

The service architecture is multi-tenant. Each customer has a logically separate repository or host and resources defined by a hardware plan.

The hardware plan defines the available CPU resources, memory, storage, and network capacity. This provides each customer with a clearly defined allocation of infrastructure for backup or replication.

The Network Extension Appliance ensures segregated network connectivity for individual customers on our side. This design enables the use of the remote environment without touching other customers’ networks.

For the customer, this means an external copy or a remote recovery environment that complements the 3 2 1 rule, without investing in their own secondary site.

Why Humanfrog

We do not offer Veeam as an isolated product but as part of a broader IT infrastructure and cybersecurity management service.

We host backups and recovery environments in our own TIER III data centers in Slovenia. This gives customers Slovenian data residency and clearer control over where their data is located.

We provide monitoring of backup execution, health checks, reporting, and support through our own support center. Because we know both the customer’s infrastructure and the remote storage environment, we can identify issues faster and coordinate the recovery process.

We tailor the solution to the customer’s actual requirements regarding data volume, retention period, backup frequency, and RPO/RTO targets. In this way, each system receives a level of protection that matches its importance and impact on the business.

Our goal is for the customer not only to have backups, but to have an organized and auditable data protection system with clearly defined procedures for responding to technical failures, data loss, or a cyber incident.
